Hindman Auctions to Showcase Glen de Vries’ Extraordinary Watch Collection

Hindman Auctions is thrilled to announce the appointment of Reginald Brack as the Senior Vice-President and Director of Jewelry & Watches, reinforcing its commitment to the luxury watch industry. Mr. Brack, an industry veteran, will lead his first Hindman sale featuring an exceptional watch collection owned by billionaire space tourist Glen de Vries, an American entrepreneur renowned for his contributions to medical sciences and technology.

Glen de Vries, known for his passion for watch collecting and space travel, was a participant in one of the earliest sub-orbital flights of Blue Origin, alongside William Shatner of Star Trek fame.

The upcoming Hindman auction, titled “Time & Space: Watches from the Collection of Glen de Vries,” will offer approximately 100 remarkable lots. Notable highlights include the F.P. Journe platinum ‘Tourbillon Souverain Black Label’ with an estimated value of $250,000 to $450,000, the Richard Mille ‘RM-6101 Yohan Blake’ estimated at $150,000 to $200,000, the A. Lange & Söhne ‘Datograph Up/Down “Lumen” in 950 Platinum’ with an estimated value of $120,000 to $180,000, and the De Bethune ‘Ref. DB28XP Titanium Watch’ valued at $80,000 to $120,000.

This exciting auction event will take place online and at Hindman’s New York salesroom on October 18, offering watch enthusiasts and collectors a unique opportunity to acquire extraordinary timepieces from Glen de Vries’ collection.
